Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show 2019.

An entertainment stage that celebrates Australian native wildflowers.

Choosing not to compete in the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show in 2019, we were invited to create a garden for the entertainment stage. We chose to highlight the diversity of Australia’s beautiful wildflowers.

A wildflower meadow wrapped around the deck while tall eucalypts and tree ferns provided a backdrop of foliage that merged seamlessly into the surrounds of Carlton Gardens. Garlands of dried wildflowers and gumnuts were strung from the whitewashed wall and timber branch posts.

It is these small artistic details that encourage you to linger a little longer in our gardens and absorb what’s around you. The natural branch tee-pee was strung with a medley of native flowers, leaves and seedpods and encouraged children (and adults) to interact and play with the space.
