This property had severe water issues, the main focus of this design was to correct the flooding. We like to work with the landscape and water is a valuable resource so why not make use of it? We created a set of water soaks and an ephemeral creek bed to capture the water and allow it to naturally soak into the ground, irrigating the surrounding garden. The project was a huge success, and we were so pleased to hear the client say that they no longer stress out when it rains, instead, they get excited to watch the water fill the soak and creek bed.
